余少日读郁诗，酷爱其“曾因酒醉鞭名马，生怕情多累美人”一联。抚今思昔，差近念年矣。郁文诗学仲则，格调不甚高，寒语酸语，故作激烈语，集中比比有之。然诗味醇厚，良足动人。壬午岁，余得郁诗全编，发愿录其诗全编上网，以飨同好，逾一年始成，计诗四百九十三首（原编者误录明张灵诗一首入内，已删），词十一首。此事一毕，窃谓郁公九原有知，当欣风雅犹在，宗风不灭，一灯尚传。
