4幕话剧。1943年2月联友出版社初版。收入1982年中国戏剧出版社出版《老舍剧作全集》第1卷。现收入《老舍文集》第10卷。剧本主人公吴凤鸣为帮助弟弟凤羽逃出北平沦陷区去重庆参加抗战,自己留在北平刺杀日本军官和汉奸,最后以身殉国。他在牺牲前说,“还是我先到了重庆”在这里，重庆已成为抗战的中心和精神的象征。一颗心先到重庆，就是为抗战献身。
