独幕话剧。副题作“改编旧作《马裤先生》”。初载1979年《剧本》2月号。收入1982年中国戏剧出版社出版《老舍剧作全集》第3卷。现收入《老舍文集》第12卷。剧本写马先生在某列火车发车前短短一段时间里对茶房颐指气使，支使得茶房团团转，也闹得火车上的乘客不得安宁，最后才发现自己要去南京而上了去沈阳的车。作品对自大浅薄又擅作威福的无知识无修养的人进行了辛辣的讽刺。
