唐吴兢作。上下二卷。汉武帝设立乐府后,乐府诗作者大量涌现,乐府诗作蔚为大观。吴兢即搜采汉魏以来古乐府,纂为10卷,把大量的乐府诗辑入集中,并作说明研究。但这10卷本今已不传,传者仅2卷本的《乐府古题要解》。书分乐府诗为相和歌、拂舞歌、白纻歌、铙歌、横吹曲、清商曲、杂题、琴曲等类,类后有总说,并各列曲题,题下收录本题命名缘起、古辞和后代仿作,资料详赡赅备。为乐府诗研究者所重视,宋郭茂倩《乐府诗集》多采录其文。根据阅读各家文集、传记所得,记述一百多首曲子名字的由来,计相和歌二十六首、短箫铙歌九首、横吹曲九首、舞曲五首、清商曲七首、琴曲六首、杂曲四十六首。对研究汉、魏、六朝音乐具有参考价值。
