宋代诗文别集。4卷。释道灿著。《四库全书总目》谓其“所著别有语录,故此以外集为名”。“释氏以佛学为内学,以儒学为外学也。”散文中有一篇《送一侍者归日本序》字里行间,充满中日佛门弟子之友谊,十分可贵。尚有部分专为佛教徒作的志铭,可提供一些佛教史研究的资料。诗歌以登山临水的题材居多。佛门的清静之气和世风的江河日下,使他的作品于淡泊萧散之中又含有一丝傲岸。如《和渊明祠》:“一寸归心酒得知,门前官道是危机。道傍也有人归去,不似先生真个归。”又如《钓台》:“汉室兴亡一聚尘,山河社稷几番新。独余七里滩头水,只属严家不属人。”
