王之望

诗文别集。南宋王之望撰。十六卷。之望字瞻叔,襄阳谷城(今属湖北)人。后寓台城。绍兴进士。教授处州,入为太学录,迁博士。孝宗时,累官参知政事,寻罢为端明殿学士,提举江州。后曾以功加资政殿大学士,移知温州,旋又罢去。原有集六十卷,已佚。清人从《永乐大典》中采撮裒缀所存十之三四,成今本。有赋三首,古体诗三十五首,近体诗一百三十八首。其他各体文三百二十六首。之望历官颇有政绩,唯隆兴时力主和议,以割地啖为计,故为人抨击。“其诗文则皆疏畅明达,犹有北宋遗矩。诸札子亦多足以考见时事,与正史相参,未可遽废。”(《四库全书总目》)有《四库全书》本。
