一卷。三国魏桓范 (?—249)撰,清马国翰辑。桓范,字元则,沛国人。正始年间官拜大司农,后被司马懿杀死。《隋志》法家有 《政要论》十二卷,《旧唐志》作 《代要论》十卷。在一些著作中引用《世要论》文字时,又称它为 《政要论》、《桓范新书》、《桓范世论》、《桓公世论》、《桓子》、《魏桓范》、《桓范论》、《桓范要集》等。《世要论》是桓范摘抄 《汉书》,结合自己的看法写成的。马国翰从《北堂书钞》、《初学记》、《艺文类聚》、《文选注》、《太平御览》等书中辑得二十七节 《世要论》 内容,合成一卷,定名为 《世要论》。马国翰将其收入《玉函山房辑佚书》,《续四库全书提要》也有介绍。
