马叙伦著，上海龙门联合书局1958年出版，7.3万字。该书是对《庄子·天下篇》的解释，也兼及文字的注释。在述义和注解两方面，作家列举自汉以来各家的意见，加以考订和研究，并提出自己的见解。全书由序言、述义本文、庄子年表序、庄子年表、后记几部分组成。书中认为，《庄子》三十三篇中，只有内七篇确为庄子所著，在杂篇中只有《天下篇》最有可能是庄子本人所作。《天下篇》作为一个时代的学术总结，也只有精通整个时代学术的大手笔才能胜任。马叙伦更认为《天下篇》作为《庄子》的自序，实在是天衣无缝了。
