近人梁启超撰。有《中国之旧史》、《史学之界说》、《论正统》、《历史与人种之关系》、《论书法》、《论纪年》6节。1902年(光绪二十八年)在《新民丛报》连载。批判封建史学有四弊:其一,知有朝廷而不知有国家;其二,知有个人而不知有群体;其三,知有陈迹而不知有今务;其四,知有事实而不知有理想。有二病:其一,能铺叙而不能别裁;其二,能因袭而不能创作。首次提出“史界革命”口号,认为新史学要叙述人群进化之现象而求得其公理公例,为救国图强、造就新民服务。收入《饮冰室合集·文集》第4册。
