四卷。明薛凤翔撰。薛凤翔，字公仪，毫州 (今安徽亳县)人，生卒年不详。薛氏本为例贡出身，后官至鸿胪寺少卿。当时毫州牡丹最盛，薛氏家园中种植最多。薛氏就撰写了《牡丹史》这本书。是书在欧阳修《洛阳牡丹记》一书的基础上，进一步补充内容。其体例效仿史书，分为纪、表、书、传、外传、别传、花考、神异、方术、艺文等目。记载花木，采用史书体例，是明代人喜欢粉饰的一种习气，不如欧阳修《洛阳牡丹记》简明、质朴而有体例。《四库全书总目提要》据内府藏本列为存目。1983年12月安徽人民出版社出版了李冬生点注的 《牡丹史》。
