一名 《水田居激书》二卷 ( 《四库提要》作无卷数)。明贺贻孙撰。此书二卷，二十三篇。自称“深感夫激我者成我之德，故记而述之，”名以《激书》。内容多为愤世疾俗之谈，且证以近事。有的则举古事，易其姓名，借以立议，如《太平广记》贵公子炼炭条等。有的则引古语，并加以推理、阐发。其文称心而谈，有纵横曼衍之意。但其语句字词或伤于冗赘，或伤于纤丽，欲仿《庄子》而未成。其宗旨皆为黄老家言。此书收入《水田居全集》中。另有《激书》二卷，附校勘记一卷，为民国胡思敬校，收入 《乾初先生遗集》别集之中。
