宋张功父著《梅品》一帙，疏梅花之宜称，憎疾，荣宠，屈辱凡五十八事。闲思莲足纤妍，花堪解语，更无凡卉得与追踪。至有历百折而不回，贯四时而不改，则唯寒梅、翠竹、苍松差堪接武。乃或遇人不淑，有女仳离，空谷幽兰，不知凡几，在女子以缠足为容，譬之君子修身俟命，岂有怨尤？然读“采封采菲，无遗下体”之诗，能无三叹？因仿其意，纂香莲宜称、憎疾、荣宠、屈辱，亦得五十八条。别疏香闺韵事，及步莲三昧所未及者，凡二十余类，总汇一卷，签曰《品藻》，愿因风寄语金屋主人，倘阿娇步步生莲，幸加意护持，万勿敝屣视之，庶几享香莲清福于无既也。
