该书共有5卷,著者姓名不详。前有孙愐《唐韵序》,注文较重修本颇简。《永乐大典》引此书皆曰陆法言《广韵》。据《四库全书总目》考证,认为此书就是重修本之前,亚宝文、裴务齐、陈道固三家修订《切韵》本之一。
