一卷。元苏天爵(1294—1352)撰。苏天爵字伯修,真定(今河北正定)人。少师事安熙,吴澄、虞集。泰定元年 (1324),擢应奉翰林文字。至顺元年(1330),参修《武宗实录》,任江南行台监察御史。武统二年(1334),参修《文宗实录》,迁翰林待制。后任吏部尚书、中书参议,官至江浙行省参政。著有《滋溪文稿》、《名臣事略》、《文类》、《辽金纪元》等书。此书采宋以前的事迹和先儒的议论,其宗旨在于以历史为龟鉴,培养元气,以巩固封建统治。
