对妇女进行封建道德教育的通俗读物。约刊行于明代。经过不断增删,在民间广为流传。著者不详。主要版本有明赵南星(1555～1636)加注刊印的《女儿经》、清同治年间贺瑞麟订正的《女儿经》、《改良女儿经》,以及清光绪年间屯溪聚文堂校印的《女儿经》等。其中尤以《改良女儿经》流行最广,直到1927年,国民党政府在南京还多次翻印。《女儿经》和《改良女儿经》一样,竭力宣扬儒家的妇女道德观,“男尊女卑”和“三纲五常”。《女儿经》虽版本众多,但内容大致相同。均由“大纲”、 “细目”、 “合总”、“广义”四部分组成。
