又称《养蚕经》,是我国明代一部讲养蚕的专书。作者黄省曾。《明史·艺文志》农家类著录一卷。有《百陵学山》本、《广百川学海》本、《丛书集成》等本。此书分艺桑、宫宇、器具、种连、育饲、登簇、择茧、缲板、戒宜等九章,分别记述了养蚕的整个过程和技术,反映了我国明代养蚕业的发展。宋元时代,嘉兴、湖州已是全国蚕桑业最发达的地区。但宋元以前的古蚕书都是北方人所作,论述黄河中下游的蚕桑方法。黄省曾的《蚕经》最早记述嘉兴、湖州的栽桑养蚕方法,全文不到2500字。
