李义山以滑稽巷谈撰《杂纂》书一卷。载列事条，中情极确。继后，王君玉、苏子瞻、黄允交俱仿其意，各有续纂，而确当亦不逊于义山。予读诸纂，其间事系于身心家国者甚少，因另辑十类。篇目俱以一正一反，两两并列，令读者知某某为宜当行，某某为宜当戒，则举止有所凭式。较之前人《杂纂》，似有益也。辑成此书，以俟异日后有感发，再加增续。省庵徐先生见而高声谓予曰：“纂得确!”予乃不遮厚颜，即以此三字名其书。天基石成金撰。
