明项穆撰。沈思孝序。一卷。分书统、古今、辨体、形质、品格、资学、规矩、常变、正奇、中和、老少、神化、心相、取舍、功序、器用、知识等十七节。其中多有创新之说，如“形质”中在“中和”、“肥”、“瘦”三种书法形态之外，又提出“瘦而实肥”的“清妙”和“肥而实秀”的“丰艳”。又在“老少”中提出书法“老”与“少”的命题。认为“老乃书之筋力，少则书之姿颜。……融而通焉，书其几矣。”这些新颖的见解充实了我国古代书论的宝库。有明万历刊本、《四库全书》本、《美术丛书》本。
