山势迫而障于近者勿营，虑伏在侧也；山亚而绕林奋者勿营，虑四周有伏也；山回于路者不可妄行，虑伏在前也；山伏于后者速过，急以兵守其后，虑为敌所绝也。左右前后皆山，我顿军于中者，细究其往来之蹊路，因诸间道以兵守之。凡诸山坂及野地者，有林近我，我利。若得之，战则为伏，急则为藏，守则为薪也。苟能知山林之利害者，鲜不胜也。
