子曰：“由之瑟，奚为于丘之门？”门人不敬子路。子曰：“由也升堂矣，未入于室也。”

有一次，孔子斥责他的学生——勇猛的仲由（子路），说，“以后不许那个吹喇叭的人踏入我的家门。”之后其他同学开始看不起仲由（子路）。于是孔子又说：“那个人（子路）在学习的时候，已经有迹可循、找到了门路，只是还没有完全进入其中罢了！”
