有个毫无价值观的人（原壤，孔子的同乡），孔子很熟悉，有一次他叉开双腿坐着，孔子从旁边过，也没站起来。孔子就对他说：“你年轻的时候就任性而恶劣，长大以后也没什么杰出成就，现在老了，也没什么光彩事。你这样一个人简直可以称为流氓！ ”说着，孔子举起手杖，敲了敲他的小腿。
