宋代陈淳所撰。陈淳，字安卿，号北溪，漳州龙溪人。是朱熹晚年得意门生，性至孝，于书无所不读。陈淳较关心儿童教育，除此书外，还撰有《小学诗礼》。他从儒家经典中，辑出关于人伦、品德修养等方面的内容。用三字韵语的形式，编成此书，让儿童习诵。虽说此书不是具体的介绍儒家经典，但儿童习诵并按此去做，则达到了用儒家经典教育的目的，对儿童来说，是儒家经典的启蒙教育，故曰《经学启蒙》。
