早，写漱六信毕。饭后写季仙九先生信一封。派戈什哈朱长彪往溧阳迎接陈作梅，寄途费银百两。李少泉亦派一家丁同去。巳初起行。余亦即于已初开船。见客二次。是日风色不甚顺。自九江以上，须得东风，泝流乃顺。本日北风甚微。行三十里，至陆家嘴泊宿。与雪琴久谈。登岸散步，行半里许，天气甚热，与少泉露坐久谈。阅次青代雪琴所为《昭忠祠记》，将一二不稳处批出。
