又名《吴氏本草》共六卷,魏·吴普著。吴普约生于公元136—149年,卒于公 元250年前后。吴普,为华佗弟子,当时已为名医,精于本草,其著作除《吴普本草》外,尚有《华 佗医方》早佚。《嘉佑本草》称:吴普修《神农本草》成四百四十一种。唐经籍志尚存六卷,今广 内不复有,惟诸子书多见引录,其说药性寒温、五味,最为详悉。《吴普本草》已佚(散佚时间大 致在宋代)。清·焦理堂有辑本。今人尚志钧等的辑校本系从《太平御览》等书中辑得药物231 种,分列玉石、草木、虫兽、果菜、米食等六类。各药项下记载其别名、性味、有毒无毒、产地、采 集时间(有的还记载植物形态)、功能主治、忌畏等。其所记载别名和药性类集(类集诸家药性) 比较丰富。
