《洞玄灵宝八仙王教诫经》，撰人不详。内容文字与《洞玄灵宝道要经》类同，盖系隋唐间道士所造。一卷，收入《正统道藏》太平部。此经乃元始天尊告诫三真孝王（又号至孝真王），以宣扬孝道为宗旨。内称「孝道至大，与元并生，治于三光，照耀幽夜」。修持孝道者，可离生死、暗障、饥寒等怖畏，即身成道，升入无形；而不守孝道，则沦下地狱，轮回不已，永无出期。又称下世明王以孝治天下，可使家国太平，八表归一。乃至于百病不生，众毒不害，草木不枯，风雨以时。田蚕丰收，诸瑞呈祥。
