《太上洞玄灵宝五显灵观华光本行妙经》，撰人不详。从内容文字看，似为唐宋道士所撰。一卷，收入《万历续道藏》。经文称元始天尊在大罗天中为众真演说善恶因缘，有三天境内「灵观大圣华光五大天师」誓愿救度众生。天尊于是遣金童玉女敕召灵观五大天师，分身降世，伏魔归道，济生度死。据称此灵观五大天师禀五星五炁之精，毓五方五灵之秀，可以显十种化身，降世救度群生。世人称呼其名号，念诵灵观咒，即现形虚感。天尊复称若有世间妖魔为害众生，可斋戒沐浴，建五圣坛，立三清座，拜表上章，诵经首过，恳请灵观大圣率部下降，扫荡妖氛。若遇水旱兵虫冤疾诸灾，亦可醮请大圣，即转祸为祥。
