何新之令嫒适汤氏，孟冬分娩，次日便泄一次，即发热痉厥，谵语昏狂。举家惶惶。乃翁邀孟英察之，脉弦滑，恶露仍行。曰：此胎前伏暑，乘新产血虚痰滞而发也。与大剂：犀（角） 羚（羊角） 元参 竹叶 知母 花粉栀（子） 楝（实） 银花，投之。遍身得赤疹而痉止神清。乃翁随以清肃调之而愈。
