法琳《辩正论》引该经,敦煌遗经有与该经相当的部分,石井昌子在《敦煌と中国道教》一书中撰写章节称该经为六朝灵宝经。小林正美认为该经是由仙公系改入元始系之灵宝经,出于陆修静之前。劝人制心定志，坐念思微，即时时处处念修仙。
