此篇论中风表证不可下。
太阳病，有外证未解，不可下，下之为逆。解外宜桂枝汤。
本发汗而复下之，此为逆也。若先发汗，治不为逆。本下之而反汗之，为逆。若先下之，治不为逆。
太阳与阳明合病，喘而胸满，不可下也。属麻黄汤证。
脉浮大。应发其汗。医反下之，此为大逆。
夫病脉浮大，问病者言便坚耶？设利者，为虚，大逆。坚为实，汗出而解。何以故？脉浮，当以汗解。
