灵宝天尊述兰林之字、凤鸟之音，以诵经呼名为济厄之法。又述道生天地，以昆仑山为中心，凡八十一天、三千世界，又有三六九厄劫运之数。《无上黄箓大斋立成仪》卷1著录《洞玄灵宝运度大劫经》。本经劝诵《洞渊神咒经》。吉冈义丰《道教经典史论》 以此疑本经出于六朝。
