《上清大洞真经目》第十四种著录《上清三元玉简三元布经》 1卷。秋月观暎《三元思想の形成》指出本经盖《真诰》所引《三元布经》，属三元思想形成前之经。述上元检天大录、下元检地玉 文和中元检仙真书，皆有符箓。述三元内存招真降灵上法、三元隐朝内仙上法，教人服、埋、焚符并存神诵咒。
