自古之说，卜灵之为道，通于神明。所以断吉凶，决忧疑，辩阴阳于爻象，查变化之元机。此其义为至精，而其事为至大。圣经曰：至诚之道，可以前知。故问卜者，不诚不格，占卦者妄断不灵。此二语实定论也。每见世人遇事即卜，而诚之一字。昧焉罔觉，或饮酒茹晕，或淫邪不洁，迨至临时祝告，遂欲感格神明，不亦惑乎。或托亲朋，或委奴仆，至此问卦者。八卦能通天地理，万事总在诚者灵。
