第七十五章

【民之饥，以其上食税之多，是以饥。民之难治，以其上之有为，是以难治。民之轻死，以其求生之厚，是以轻死。夫惟无以生为者，是贤于贵生。】
上之食税多，民之饥荒起矣。上之有为多，民之难治见矣。民之轻死，为贪货利，欲厚其生，是以轻身不顾。谚所谓人为财死者，此也。夫惟不以货利为重，则心清欲寡，是贤于贵生者也。
愚按：税多民饥，比形太劳则枯。有为难治，比神太用则乱。
