予尝滴露研朱，对梅读易，逆爻位之得失，卜气运之变迁，莫不如影随形，如谷应声。独怪夫今之易卜君子，其于爻辞象义皆莫之究，反以枝杆蔓说而文之，是致祸福无凭也。予因是，上窥圣人之经旨，下窃六君子之传义，旁参鬼谷先生之遗文，演作歌诗，述为断例。以之决忧疑，定犹豫。观往知来，吉凶截然先定。命之曰卜筮元龟。不敢私秘，敬刻诸梓，以广其传。
