诊溪毒证第十六
江东江南诸溪，源间有虫，名短狐溪毒，亦名射工，其虫无目，而利耳能听，在山源溪水中闻人声，便以口中毒射人，故谓射工也。其虫小毒轻者及相逐者，射着人影者，皆不即作疮，先病寒热，身不喜冷，体强筋急，头痛目疼，张口欠咳嗽，呼吸闷乱，朝旦少苏醒，晡夕辄复寒热。或似伤寒发石散动，亦如中尸便不能语，病候如此，自非其土地人不常数行山水中，不知其证，便谓是伤寒发石散动，作治乖僻毒盛发疮，复疑是瘭疽，乃至吐下去血。
