燕雀之志，尝思爪下之食，肠不盈于百粒，声不远于五畦，翱翔藩篱之下，其气量亦自足矣。鸾凤之志，一举千里，非梧桐而不栖，非竹实而不食，鸣于朝阳，天下称其庆，志度气象，固自有殊也。是知有冲天之异者，必不肯栖托桑榆，有方外之材者，必不肯贪求名利，志之所向取舍，以此观之，志趣远近，气量深浅，自可见矣。
