明集礼原序
大明集礼一书我皇祖高皇帝之所制也所谓吉凶军宾嘉五礼也吉礼者首之以祀典以及朝会等类凶礼也丧葬之类军也宾也嘉也各寓以戎事朝聘婚姻等类莫不详备允为万世之法程子孙之所世守而遵行推衍之也昨岁礼部请刻布中外俾人有所知见乃命内阁?秘藏令其刋布兹以讫工遂使广行宣传以彰我皇祖一代之制朕素不知礼又兼无学因以刋布之意而述之于首是为序嘉靖九年六月望日
