一卷。清代知归子撰。知归子即彭际清或彭绍升之法号。《善女人传》是知归子居士在撰写完毕 《居士传》之后,就在家女信佛者择其较著名的汇集成书的佛教传记体史书。《善女人传》一书,收载了汉代至清代历朝历代以来的民间在家女信佛者,并将其虔心信佛,积善乐道,持戒行善之女信佛者,称之为“善女人”将此一一列传,载述其信佛教事迹。此书如与《居士传》一并来读,足以概观中华佛教史上,在家两众佛信徒的信仰情况及其不同时代的变化情况。对研究佛教史,尤其是研究中国妇女史、思想史,为有价值的参考资料。现见载版本有《清史稿·艺文志)。
