本书（一册六二面三七、二○○字）不分卷，蔡青筠撰。按同治初年所发生之戴潮春事变，前有林豪「东瀛纪事」（见第八种篇）及吴德功「戴案纪略」（见第四七种「戴施两案纪略」篇）记述其事。此书系作者征访耆旧，增补上述两书而成者；稿本成于民国十二年，今藏鹿港蔡氏本家，前未印行。书用编年体裁，与吴着略似。所可异者，卷首「前言」殆全取吴着「自序」之文，有「不知其何所指而云然」者；他如「添注」凌杂、人名互歧，缺失不一而足。今据传抄本（依稿本影写）排印，书首并刊一著者传略」
