本书（五册八五一面五一○、六○○字）汇集台湾私法有关人事之事例，凡六章。此项事例之调查汇集，详见第七九种「台湾私法债权编」篇。本书系综合日据时期清宣统二年时临时旧惯调查会刊行「第一部第三回报告书台湾私法第二卷附录参考书」上卷暨翌年刊行「台湾私法第二卷附录参考书」下卷而成。所集事例，统属人事部分。第一章人，分生死（出生、死亡）、品性（能力、阶级、宗教）、姓名、户籍四节；第二章亲族，不分节；第三章婚姻，分正式之婚姻、变例之婚姻、蓄妾三节；第四章亲子、第五章托孤、第六章相续，均不分节。
