宣统元年(1909)始修，由江苏通志局主持，缪荃孙任总纂。邮传志。路航邮电及旧驿铺，历代史志会典，多以驿站附于兵类。自清末铁路邮电创兴，皆视驿站至为便捷。但自春秋以来二三千年，传送文报，支递舟车，皆赖于驿，宋元铺递尤多。今虽多废，然往时中国程途悉皆由此，既当孔道捷道，尤利旅行，宜附著之。四政之宜表者及宜仿纪事本末体者，皆从所宜
