清顾云撰。二卷。云字石公，上元(今属江苏南京)人。曾任《吉林通志》总纂。光绪甲午二十年(1894)乙未二年，顾云随吉林将军长顺驻守辽阳，就其耳闻目睹甲午中日战争前后史事及人物轶事撰成是书。约一万二千字。上卷主述战争始末，涉及叶志超、李鸿章、袁世凯、丁汝昌、邓世昌、左宝贵等数十人事迹。下卷记甲午战争前后轶事。如记战事未启之前，吉林将军在辽阳、海城间获日间谍，于间谍帽中搜得辽阳图一份，极精，有“明治十三年石印”字样。当时是明治二十七年，证明十四年前日人就已偷绘中国地图。是书为研究甲午战争的重要史料。有《辽海丛书》本。
