《骨董祸》一卷，记清“乾隆三十一年两淮巨案”。其时，两淮盐官、盐商互相勾结，空亏盐银数千万两。盐商为向盐政大臣等行贿，巧取豪夺民间珍贵字画古玩，由此引发出此案的调查，“被祸株连者数十百人，鹾务内容之腐败盖至此而尽情揭露矣。”此案内情曲折，波澜迭起，因其由古玩骨董而起，故名《骨董祸》。
