晏林子退耕山中五年，因避俗驾，日把书坐茂林，见尺鹦往来飞鸣，声如互答，辄辗然大笑曰：“此吾忘形友也。”意有所得，取木叶书之，渐至数筐。儿子辈易以剡藤，复穴败叶树下，留此笥中。昔戴颙持柑听黄鹂，以为俗耳针砭，诗肠鼓吹，此吾与尺晏论事耳。故曰《晏林子》云。嘉靖戊午秋日。
