《吴逆始末记》一卷，不著撰人名氏，大约出于清康熙间人之手。所记始于吴三桂降清，止于明桂王朱由榔（永历帝）被吴三桂所杀。文末附有《觚剩》（清初钮撰）故事一则，当是后人所加，因涉及吴三桂生平，今仍保留；但所引个别句子有删节，今为保存原貌，仍据《觚剩》卷四原文将所删补入。
