原书未著撰人。《四库全书》认为是明杨铭著。1卷。杨铭本名哈铭,蒙古族。幼从其父杨只为通事。正统十四年(1449),随父与指挥使吴良出使瓦剌,被也先太师拘留。“土木之变” 英宗被俘,羁留在也先处的一段时间内,他一直同朱祁镇生活在一起。其所书一卷,正是记录的他跟随皇帝的这一段历史。是书按时间顺序写了英宗被俘的前后始末,营帐中的军旅生活,终于被迎回京城及举行仪式并封赏随臣的经过。
