查维佐年箫查慎行年措清初的“庄氏史狱”，因庄廷撬其人“私撰”明史而兴，牵连甚广，死难者甚众。其情节大致是，庄廷巍购已故朱国祯所撰明史，召集宾客加工成书。庄死，其父刊行。有吴之荣者，因贪赃罢官，将庄氏史作为把柄欲诈取钱财，并图复职，诈财未遂，即向官府告评，致兴大狱。该史列名“参阅”(亦作“参订”)的二十四人中，颇有当时的知名人士，无不牵连在案。
