右明季三朝野史计四卷，世无刊本。余借钞同郡友王石农家，藏之箧笱逾四十年，原稿已毁于火。书中纪事核实，于本朝亦无谤词。其指北为虏，揆以舜东夷、文王西夷，宜无庸避忌。大儒著作，不忍听其湮没，而又不敢窜改，恐失其真。明臣尊明，圣训皇皇，幸毋罪我！
光绪三十四年夏四月，张慕庐志于上海箫市之大雪山房。
