禅宗公案众多，无不以“直指本心”为极则。明末清初的俍亭净挺禅师著有《漆园指通》二卷，以禅宗公案会通《庄子》，从而使《庄子》成为“见性成佛”的典。对当时明朝遗儒流行的庄学思想提出不同的认识,将庄子学术定位为\'释家教外别传\',并以禅学思想全新注解《庄子》,对《庄子》的逍遥游、齐物论、养生主、大宗师等篇章都作了符合禅学思想的新阐释。俍亭净挺同大多数逃禅遗儒不同的是,他在精神上完成了由儒而禅的内在心灵转化,并以禅为生命的最终归宿。这种心路的巨大转变既是世变的‘不得已’所造成的复杂矛盾的心态反映,也是儒释道三教思潮合一倾向在明清学术思想上的反映。
