短篇小说。张天翼著。发表于1931年《文学生活》1卷4期。写乡村家族权势下的地主阶级的荒唐无耻。农妇任三嫂为了摆脱族绅长太爷的调戏,远走溪庄,跟上姓刘的情人。事发后长太爷以“淫奔”罪派人把她捆绑回乡,在祠堂里把任三嫂的上衣脱下,把任三嫂的脊背打得皮绽血流,而长太爷却在一旁睨视着任三嫂白嫩的奶子。为了侵占任三嫂,长太爷以逼债为名强迫任三嫂作抵押,每夜来服侍他。任三嫂在长太爷到桥头迎接时乘机把他打倒在地,连夜与情人私奔他乡。但长太爷却“打肿了脸还称胖子”,声称脸是被“淫妇”气肿的。作品无情地揭露了地主乡绅满口仁义道德、其实淫邪无耻的嘴脸。作者采用喜剧的形式暴露传统道德的虚伪,文笔轻松诙谐,读来妙趣横生。
